The last date for making the submission for Carbon Zero Challenge is May 31.

You may register for the competition if you belong to the following 5 states – Tamilnadu, Karnataka, Kerala, Puducherry and Andaman & Nicobar Islands – which comes within the legal jurisdiction of the US Consulate Chennai.

Two documents are to be submitted for this stage of the competition –

Powerpoint presentation (Max 10 slides, with audio commentary explaining each slide)
Video – Max 120 seconds, with audio commentary
  • Overall concept
  • Details of technology used
  • Prototype (if developed) ad challenges faced
  • Business model
  • Team details & background
Two Page Concept Paper
Specific details on the idea/solution which cannot be elaborated in the presentation or video need to be provided in this paper. These could include flowcharts, diagrams, process diagrams etc.

The shortlisted candidates will be announced in July.

Click the ‘register’ button on the top-right corner of the website (www.czeroc.com) and follow the guidelines to create an account in the younoodle portal. You will have to fill in all the required information, add teammates and upload the required documents (PPT/Video & Concept Paper) on younoodle.

Students from different colleges in the 5 states – Tamilnadu, Karnataka, Kerala, Puducherry and Andaman & Nicobar Islands – are allowed to be part of the same team.

No, we have a minimum requirement of 2 members to be part of a team. A maximum of 5 members can be part of a team.

A single team can submit up to two ideas/applications.

A set of US and Indian experts will be mentoring the students/entrepreneurs. More details on this will be put up on the website in June.
